5 dead after high-speed train derails in France
A high speed train derailed next to Strasbourg on Saturday, plunging into a cancal and there were at least 5 people dead in France.
The train derailed next to the village of Eckwershein, north of Strasbourge next to reeling from a terrorist attact in Paris on Friday that left at leaset 127 persons dead and more people injured. No connection have been made between the 2 events.
Aurelien Poivret, who was at the scene shortly after the crash, said officials made it clear there was no connection to terrorism.
Photos from the scene show the train's engine and a car sticking out of the canal. Victims of the crash were being evacuated by helicopter.
